Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR)

The Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) is responsible for policy-making and coordination, as well as legislation on vocational training outside schools and on continuing education; legislation on training support and its funding (in conjunction with the federal states); the regulation of general principles of higher education; and educational planning and research funding (in cooperation with the federal states). The BMFTR (formerly BMBF) has been funding the Europa macht Schule programme since 2009, thereby enabling the establishment of a full-time coordination unit.
Pedagogical Exchange Service (PAD)

The Pedagogical Exchange Service (PAD) operates on behalf of the federal states to promote international exchange and cooperation in the school sector. Its work serves to foster intercultural dialogue and international understanding. The PAD regards the internationalisation of schools as a concrete and necessary contribution to quality assurance and school development in the 21st century. The PAD has supported the Europa macht Schule programme since its inception.
European Competition

Discovering and helping to shape Europe through creative learning – that is the aim of the European Competition. With up to 80,000 participants annually across some 1,300 schools nationwide, it has been not only the oldest but also one of the most prestigious school competitions in Germany since its founding in 1953.
Local Erasmus+ Initiatives

LEILocal Erasmus+ Initiatives are student university groups that, amongst other things, support international Erasmus+ students locally. They assist with all aspects of daily life and contribute to the successful integration of international students through cultural programmes, excursions and seminars.
Erasmus Student Network (ESN)

The Erasmus Student Network Deutschland e.V., as part of ESN International, is the largest student organisation in Europe. ESN members across Germany support the integration of international students into local society, including by providing information about programmes such as Europa macht Schule. In this way, they promote intercultural exchange.
Association des Etats Généraux des Etudiants de l’Europe (AEGEE)

AEGEEAEGEE is an international network that offers young Europeans the opportunity to get to know European countries and cultures, engage with current social and political issues, and play an active role in shaping European integration.
