Further information for students

You’re open to new experiences?
You want to learn more about Germany?
You’d like to introduce your home country to German pupils?

Then "Europa macht Schule" is what you’re looking for!

What is "Europa macht Schule" (Europe meets schools)?

"Europa macht Schule" gives you the opportunity to realise a small school project about your home country. You visit a local school class and meet pupils as well as the class teacher. You choose a subject regarding your home country and carry out a project with your teacher in class. Thus you can turn your stay in Germany into something special. You experience your host country's culture at firsthand! Furthermore, you improve your language and presentational skills.

How to put together a project?

Election publicity on British TV in a politics class? French and German fairytales in comparison? Polish philosophy as a comic strip? You choose the subject for your project together with your responsible teacher at school. History – Politics – Language – Food – Music – Sport – You can choose any subject you find important and interesting!

And how can you turn it into a project?

Here too, there are no limits for your imagination. You can rehearse a stage play, analyse newspaper articles, design comic strips, shoot a film or... whatever! The most important thing is that your project is creative and suitable for the age of the pupils. They should be able to actively take part in the project. Thus everybody can experience the richness of European cultures.
